Themes
The priority of global health equity in building civil societies;
Neutrality and tolerance in the practice of research;
The marginalization of displaced populations, demographics and the social burden of displacement;
The responsibility toward global health diplomacy and global health governance.
Objective
A Report from A Consensus Building Forum and Declaration of Consensus will be published for the purpose of demonstrating the effectiveness and achievability of building consensus around defnitions, concepts, and critical issues in Global Health Equity.
Overview
The exploration of the themes will be framed by looking at the ethical implications of research, the social implications of displacement and by looking at the crossing of boundaries inherent in knowledge discovery and distribution. The symposium planning committee is led by Tayeb Al-Hafez, MD, founder of Global Health Equity Foundation. The symposium will be followed by a reception, which will allow for further discussion and interaction.
